Formal Echo Teaching

Mondays  12:30-13:30 on MS Teams

The sessions will be based around a case with discussions around the finer details of assessment with echo.

Organised by: Senior echocardiography colleagues from the Royal Brompton 

Suitable for: Anyone who is learning echo or would like refreshers within the Lifelong CHD Network

Royal Brompton Cardiac Morphology 

Cardiac morphology at the Royal Brompton Hospital has a long tradition of providing educational resources such as hands-on short courses and training for healthcare professionals; research – translational and observational; and diagnostic analysis of complex cardiac cases. 

Courses run during the year, many of which are in association with other departments and include: 

  • cardiac morphology applied to cross-sectional imaging
  • congenital heart disease in fetal
  • paediatric and adult patients
  • cardiac surgery
  • cardiac electrophysiology.

Joint UKMCS & BCCA Conference 2026: A Bumpy Road, 12 February 2026 at the Royal College of Physicians, London.

Medical advancements have significantly improved survival for women with congenital heart disease, transforming the obstetric landscape and presenting new challenges in maternal care.

This joint meeting between the UK Maternal Cardiology Society (UKMCS) and the British Congenital Cardiac Association (BCCA) brings together experts to learn, collaborate, and share best practices in managing complex adult congenital heart disease during pregnancy.

Paediatric ECG Course 

Date: Friday 1st May 2026 09:00 – 16:45

Venue: Camley Street Natural Park, London N1C 4PW

A one-day, in-person course focusing on the interpretation of ECGs in neonates, infants and children. Basic ECG knowledge is required to gain the most from this day. The course is limited to 60 participants.
